Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico – 2023. Because of the temperate climate, the large lake and surrounding mountains the Chapala region is a great place for bird watching. There are lots of small birds that hang out in bushes and trees and larger shore birds on the lake. Many migrating birds, including the white pelican, spend their winters on Lake Chapala.
